Clark College Career Services will provide resources and expertise to support student achievement and develop career life-planning skills necessary for meaning and success in the global community.
Our Mission
The mission of Career Services is to offer comprehensive services to students, graduates, and the community. As facilitators of the career life-planning process we offer strategies for choosing a college major and making informed career choices. We support student success and retention from the first year experience through graduation, and the transition from the classroom to the workplace. The department serves community needs by providing a range of services and resources to local area employers. Our services support student success, foster community partnerships that enhance student learning, and address the needs of our diverse job-seeking community.

EDIE BLAKLEY
Director
Edie has been the Director of Career Services since Fall of 1998. She holds a Bachelors degree in Leadership Studies and a Masters degree in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University. Prior to coming to Clark College Edie worked at Oregon State University in Career Services where she coordinated Career Fairs, managed Employment Services, and conducted career counseling and employer development. CATHARINE KEANE
Program Manager
Catharine assists groups and individuals with career exploration and has managed the resources of the Career Center since 2005. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Vermont and a Masters of Public Affairs from Washington State University. Cath draws from extensive work, travel and interpersonal experiences to help bring career information to life. |

BARBARA JO IVEY
Program Support Supervisor
Barbara Jo has been providing employment services since 2007 at Clark College, specializing in student employment opportunities. Previous to coming to Clark College she provided social services and employment services to the community at Mental Health Northwest. She has a Bachelors Degree in Social Science from Washington State University Vancouver and is dedicated to helping others find their path in life's journey. |

Carolyn has worked at Clark College for ten years in various capacities; she has worked the last three years in Career Services. Carolyn's main focus and interests include assisting students with their job search and doing resume critiques. |

SARAH WEINBERGER
Employer Relations & Job Developer
Sarah has worked for Career Services since 2010. As the Job Developer, she is responsible for creating job and internship opportunities for Clark College students. Sarah worked in the Volunteer & Service-Learning Program for two years. She has a Masters degree from Portland State University in Educational Policy, Foundations, and Administration with a specialty in Leadership for Sustainability Education. She has won numerous awards for her work in community service. |

JANETTE CLAY
Student Success Specialist
As the Student Success Specialist, Janette works on retention and student success programs. She works closely with Academic Early Warning and Academic Standards Policy; helping students understand the policies and also utilize college resources. In addition, Janette works with First Year Experience at Clark College assisting new students in transitioning to Clark College. Janette is passionate about working with students and helping them reach their goals and succeed.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in French Studies from Lewis & Clark College. |

LAURIE LANIER
Career Center Assistant
Laurie has worked in Career Services since August 2011. She provides assistance to students and community members with career assessments, career exploration and general help. Laurie is a full-time student here at Clark College completing her AAS in June of 2013. |

HOLLEE KENNEDY
Career Center Assistant
Hollee has worked in Career Services for over five years. She provides assistance in the career lab helping people with career assessments ( MBTI and SII), searching for career information and resume/job search questions. Hollee is currently enrolled in WSU’s RN to BSN Program and is anticipating graduating in June 2013.
