The Southwest Washington Displaced Homemaker Program can give you the tools to get back on your feet and provide for yourself and your family.

We offer FREE services to displaced homemakers. Information and referrals are provided to local and regional organizations and agencies which can help you during the transition between unemployment and employment.

Job readiness classes offer 60 hours of training over four weeks and address key topics including:

  • discovering hidden job skills
  • dealing with stress, anger, and health issues
  • how to stretch your current income
  • legal assistance
  • learning about the jobs that are available in the area
  • how to fill out job applications and write resumes
  • personal and group counseling
  • support groups
  • educational advising
