Conceptual Drawings

The conceptual drawings embody modern Japanese garden design concepts including the incorporation of stonework, plantings, and berms.  The concept designs avoid structures and elaborate water features that add significantly to cost and require ongoing maintenance.  These are concept drawings that can be modified (within limits) once we review the feedback from the college community.

Two design concepts have been offered by the architects and these drawings are labeled Scheme A and Scheme B

Associated with each scheme is a collection of images of actual work by Murase Associates that demonstrates some of the proposed design elements for Scheme A and Scheme B.

These images will give you an idea of what some of the design features might look like when executed.  Also included is a map that shows the proposed location on the college’s main campus.
