EMBRACING THE FUTURE:
CLARK COLLEGE 75TH ANNIVERSARY SCHOLARSHIPS
Two new scholarships will be offered to Clark College students
as part of the college’s 75th anniversary celebration
VANCOUVER, Wash. – In celebration of Clark College’s 75th anniversary, two new scholarships are being offered for the 2009-2010 academic year. One scholarship will be awarded to an incoming Clark College student, and one scholarship will be awarded to a continuing Clark College student.
Each recipient will receive a $3,000 scholarship toward tuition for one year and $750 in books and supplies at the Clark College Bookstore. Scholarship recipients must take a minimum of ten credits per quarter. Scholarship and supplemental funds will be paid quarterly.
The scholarships are made possible through donations provided by Arnerich, Massena & Associates, Inc. in support of the college’s diamond anniversary.
Application forms are available in Microsoft Word and interactive PDF format on the Clark College Web site: www.clark.edu/anniversaryscholarship
The deadline for applications is Friday, April 10, 2009. Scholarship recipients will be announced in mid-May.
Clark College President Robert K. Knight said, “Throughout our anniversary year, we have been dedicated to preserving the past, honoring the present and embracing the future. I can’t think of a better way to embrace our future than by a scholarship which can literally change someone’s life, enabling them to make a positive difference in our region for years to come.”
About Clark College scholarships
The scholarship program offered through the Clark College Foundation is one of the largest at any Washington community college. Local, civic and community organizations, as well as the Clark College Foundation, award more than 150 scholarships to Clark students each year.
An updated Clark College Scholarship Handbook and application materials are available each January. In addition to the Clark College general scholarship program, the college also has scholarships, each requiring a separate application.
