Penguin Alert for Student Success (PASS)
Penguin Alert for Student Success (PASS) is a tool that allows instructors to communicate with students about behaviors that may interfere with their success in classes.
Each week during the PASS reporting periods of weeks 3-6, instructors may submit concerns with regard to course assignments, attendance, poor test scores, and other issues that may jeopardize students’ success. Additionally, instructors may also give kudos by reporting on improved behaviors over the term, such as better attendance, grades or peer support.
Students will be notified of their instructors’ reports by email, and Clark College staff and Peer Mentors may follow up with students by phone or email to connect them to campus resources or assist with strategies for improvement.
