Student Employment Opportunities

Clark College students who are enrolled in 6 or more credits and have maintained a 2.0 GPA (grade point average) or higher, may be eligible to participate in Student Employment. The first two steps to getting started are a Career Services approved resume and the Student Employment quiz.

Career Services Approved Resume

All Student Employment positions require a Career Services approved resume which are good for a calendar year beginning in June.  After one calendar year, students must update their resume and have them re-approved to continue their participation in Student Employment. For resume approval, students should bring a hard copy of their resume to Career Services, Penguin Union Building Room 002 for review.

Student Employment Quiz

All Student Employment positions require the student to complete the Student Employment Quiz located on their My Clark page after log in. To complete this quiz students should go to clark students, then to My Clark, sign in with student id and global pin and proceed to the box that says Student Employment. It will then prompt the student to read about the program and answer questions following the reading. Students are required to pass with a 70% to see the jobs currently available for hire.

Work Study

Work Study jobs, on and off-campus, are available only to students who qualify for financial aid and are classified as a Washington resident. Work Study positions will be identificable by a WS in front of the job code. Take the Career Services approved resume and the job code to Financial Aid for the referral. For more information please contact the Financial Aid office.

Institutional Hire

Institutional Hire jobs (on-campus only) do not require financial aid eligibility but students must be enrolled in 6 credits or more and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. All Institutional Hire opportunities can be viewed online on the My Clark page, under student employment. Institutional Hire positions will be identificable by a IH in front of the job code. Career Services will issue a job referral for those positions.

For additional assistance with resume building please contact the front desk for an appointment for a resume critique.
