Adding Classes Online

Students may register for classes through the Current Students page by selecting either Web Registration or Schedule Planner.

Web Registration

To register using Web Registration, you must have the four-digit item number for each class you would like to add. Get item numbers from the Class Schedule. See this video to learn how to use Web Registration.

See this video to learn how to register using Schedule Planner.

Students may add open classes to their schedules using Web Registration or Schedule Planner through the second day of the quarter.

Having trouble registering online? See the Frequently Asked Questions page for help.

Dropping/Withdrawing From Classes Online

Students may drop or withdraw from classes through the Current Students page by going to Web Registration.

Adding/Dropping/Withdrawing in Person

Students may add, drop or withdraw from classes at the Registration Office by filling out a Change of Registration Form. Photo ID is required. No appointment is necessary. See our office hours to plan your visit.

Course prerequisites will be enforced. You may qualify for courses by taking a placement test, completing prerequisite coursework at Clark College, or having documented prerequisite coursework from another institution.

If you do not meet prerequisites, you will be asked to change to an appropriate class level during the first week of the quarter.

Permission Required Classes

If a class description states that registration is by instructor consent only, obtain the instructor's signature on a Class Registration Form or Change of Registration Form.

When you request permission from an instructor to enroll in a class requiring permission, you should also request a "Course Entry Code." This five-digit number will allow you to enroll in the class online.

Course Entry Codes

Many courses require prerequisites or an instructor's permission to register. Often, course entry codes are required even though you have met a prerequisite for a class.

When you do not meet the prerequisites or if you are registering for a course that requires instructor permission, you will not be allowed to register online without a course entry code.

A course entry code is a five-digit number that is "attached" to the course. You can get a course entry code from the Advising Office or the instructor of the class for which you would like to register.

To use a course entry code:

  1. Follow the steps to register through Web Registration or Schedule Planner.
  2. If a course entry code is required, a message will show at the top of the registration page prompting you to enter the code in a box.
  3. Enter the five-digit code in the box.
  4. Click the "Submit Entry Code" button.

If a message displays stating the course entry code you entered has already been used, contact the Advising Office or the instructor of the class to get another code.

Late Registration in a One-Day Class

Students who are not registered for a one-day course prior to attending must get the instructor's signature on a Class Registration Form (or Change of Registration Form) and bring it to the Registration Office with photo ID to enroll in the class no later than the next business day following the class meeting date.

Canceled Classes

Classes may be canceled by the college at any time. If you are enrolled in a canceled class, the college will drop the class from your schedule and you will receive a 100% refund of tuition and fees.
