Worker Retraining

The Worker Retraining Program helps unemployed workers re-enter the workforce. Created by the state of Washington, the program provides funding to community and technical colleges for retraining programs.

Unemployed workers may qualify for Worker Retraining assistance to pay for tuition, books, and fees.

You may be eligible to receive unemployment benefits while attending school or training, even though you are not looking for work, if the training meets the Commissioner Approved Training criteria approved by WorkSource.

Career and job placement services are also offered through the Employment Services Center. These services are available to anyone and include training assistance and school-to-work transition support.

For more information, contact the Worker Retraining Office at 360-992-2274.

Worker Retraining Office Hours:

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday

10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday
