All students entering Clark College who do not have transcripted college mathematics classes are required to take a mathematics placement test before enrolling in their first math class. The placement test sets a base level for students to start math classes at Clark College and progress at appropriate levels and pace.
The Mathematics Division accepts any currently enrolled student. Students can enter mathematics classes at the beginning of any term. Eligibility is based on their previous course work and placement exam scores. When previous work or exam scores qualify a student for a particular class, seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
