To offer high quality, flexible, and inclusive instruction in child and family studies
for individuals pursuing paths in human services, education, and parenting at Clark
We serve Clark College students, faculty, staff and the community at large. We believe
that learning best takes place by doing, whether you are a child or an adult and there
are curriculum components for both parents and children enrolled in our programs.
We believe that parents are the primary teachers of their children and we can best
help children by helping parents. By providing a rich, supportive environment from
which choices can be made, supplemented with guided experiences, observations and
discussions, we carry out this philosophy. Our program is respectful to all families,
regardless of race, religion, economics, cultural identity, family configurations,
and developmental and physical abilities.
