English as a Non-Native Language

The English as a Non-Native Language program is designed to meet the specific needs of international students. The intensive classes focus on reading, writing and speaking skills necessary for participation in regular Clark College courses. Students also learn about American culture and life in the Pacific Northwest.

Appropriate TOEFL and SLEP test scores and written consent of an International Programs advisor are necessary prior to enrollment. A grade of "C" or better is required in all ENL classes for progression to the next level. Students may only register for regular academic classes when the ENL faculty certifies that they are ready.
