TALENTED VOCALISTS FROM THREE CHOIRS HIGHLIGHT CLARK COLLEGE'S WINTER 2008 VOCAL CONCERT

Three choirs from Clark College will perform in concert
at the college on Thursday, March 13

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Three choirs from Clark College will perform in concert on Thursday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Gaiser Hall, located on the northwest corner of the college's main campus.  Clark College is located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.

The Women’s Choral Ensemble’s program includes two pieces in Latin by contemporary American composers as well as three traditional American songs: Little David Play on Your Harp (with soloists Jennifer Brown, Ruth Meyer, and Heather Petersen), No Time, and Ain’t No Grave Can Hold My Body Down.

The Clark College Chorale, co-directed by April Duvic and Janet Reiter, will perform a varied program including works from Romania, Russia, England and the United States. Soloists with the chorale include Randall Ferguson, Arthur LaBrant and Brandon Stewart.

The concert concludes with the Vocal Jazz Ensemble performing Bella Vista, Green Dolphin Street (with soloists Jared Pengra and Amanda Howard), I Get Along Without You Very Well, This Can't Be Love, (with soloists Kiley Griffus and Erik Burch) Better Than Anything, and Without A Song (featuring the men in the ensemble).

Admission is free. Donations to the Women’s Ensemble and Vocal Jazz Ensemble will be accepted at the door. For more information, contact Peggy Winston at 360-992-2662.
