Cannell Library and CTC iCommons have both received new whiteboards for students to use and new scientific calculators to check out!
The white boards are the result of an ASCC grant. Cannell’s three whiteboards are in the first floor collaborative area. Any student may request white board markers and an eraser from the check out desks and the usage is first-come, first-served. CTC’s white board may be checked out for up to 3 hours and used anywhere in the building.
New scientific calculators were purchased because many students have requested to borrow a calculator for assignments or tests, but their instructors had ruled that they could not use a graphing calculator due to its ability to save information in the form of equations and functions. Our graphing calculators even have a cord you can check out that allows you to download new formulas onto them from a computer.
Our new scientific calculators — five at Cannell and one at CTC — may be checked out for up to 3 hours.
Calculators are the only items of equipment that can leave the buildings. Please return them to the location that you borrowed them from because late fines are $5 an hour and forgetting a calculator in your bag overnight can cost up to $50.
They are popular and convenient, so please take care and enjoy our new resources!
