Dental Hygiene Student
Dental hygienists are licensed health care professionals who provide preventive, educational, and therapeutic dental health services directly to patients. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for dental hygienists is expected to increase by 6 percent between 2019 and 2029, and the average annual salary is $77,090. Not only does Clark College's Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene prepares students for all necessary licensure exams to work in this field, but it also provides them with plenty of hands-on training in clinical skills. Students learn on real patients in the college's state-of-the-art dental clinic, making sure they have both the academic and practical knowledge to succeed in this rewarding field.
