Many students find it difficult to make time for additional coursework, especially when they’re needed at home to take care of siblings or working to help contribute to household expenses.
So you may be wondering: Will this investment in time and resources be worth it? How is college going to make my situation better right now?
It’s tough to balance these competing responsibilities: high school classes, extracurricular activities (sports, clubs, etc.), work, family chores. When families struggle, an immediate gain is often easier to accept than a long-term investment in one’s future.
It’s Running Start, and it’s changing what it means to be a high school student.
Right here in your own backyard.
