Students

Help Yourself, Help the Fam, Help Your Community.

Many students find it difficult to make time for additional coursework, especially when they’re needed at home to take care of siblings or working to help contribute to household expenses.

So you may be wondering: Will this investment in time and resources be worth it? How is college going to make my situation better right now?

It’s tough to balance these competing responsibilities: high school classes, extracurricular activities (sports, clubs, etc.), work, family chores. When families struggle, an immediate gain is often easier to accept than a long-term investment in one’s future.

But this is an investment. And you are the future. You’ll pay no tuition for your classes.
You’ll save money while earning college credits that will transfer to many colleges and universities.

Running Start will challenge you.
And it’s for everyone, regardless of their high school GPA.

For students:

  • Earn college credit while still enrolled in high school.
  • Prepare for a future that’s yours to create.
  • Immerse yourself in a support ecosystem designed to provide an accepting space to imagine, plan, and achieve academic goals.
  • Feel welcomed and inspired by life among college students and professional educators who take you seriously.

For families:

  • They save money.
  • They save time (which is money) since you earn college credit while still in high school.
  • Get up to two years of college courses out of the way.
