ASCC Public Relations Director for 2013-2014

If you would like to volunteer come visit us in PUB 160.

ASCC Public Relations Director

  • Serve as a voting member on the ASCC Executive Council.
  • Oversee the preparation, distribution and promotion of all Student Government and Activities Programming Board events, news and marketing following the ASCC Communication Plan. 
  • Prepare, publish, and distribute the monthly bathroom stall advertisements.
  • Prepare, publish, and distribute a monthly calendar of student events and activities to main campus and satellite campuses.
  • Work with Student Life staff to maintain all marketing tools; media and print (i.e. – Student Life website, Facebook, student email, print publications, etc.).
  • Assist with quarterly ASCC Welcome Week events and activities, Civics Week, and Spring Thing.
  • Work with the Student Life office staff to develop processes and strategies to maximize student involvement and applicants for leadership positions.
  • Attend weekly office hours; not to exceed 69 hours per month.
  • Attend designated meetings with the ASCC President and your Student Life staff advisor.
  • Submit weekly officer and committee reports.
  • Attend trainings as designated by the Director of Student Life.
  • Maintain academic eligibility; submitting quarterly academic mid-quarter evaluations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

 

ASCC Public Relations Director Job Responsibilites

 

Minimum qualifications for a student government position include:     

  • Be currently enrolled in ten (10) credits or more at Clark College;
  • Possess a 2.50 cumulative grade point average at Clark College; and
  • Possess a fall quarter 2012 grade point average of 2.50 and have completed a minimum of ten (10) credits.
  • By Friday, May 24th, 2013 you must have attended two (2) official ASCC meetings, one of which must be an ASCC Executive Council meeting. Please see the committee signature page for information on these meetings.

Compensation:          

  • You will be paid $9.19 hourly.
  • You must be able to work 10-15 hours per week during regular business hours.

        Regular business hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am-5:00 pm and Friday 10:00 am-4:30 pm.
