How the Plans Work
Compare the basic features of the available medical plans. Medical plans may differ in their costs, types of providers and facilities, referral practices and guidelines. While the plans have a basic level of benefits some plans offer additional benefits or lower co-pays at no additional cost. The value plans offer lower premiums if you are willing to pay more when you use health care services.
Choose a Plan Available in Your Area
In most cases, you must live in the health plan's service area to join the plan. Be sure to call the plan(s) you are interested in to ask about provider availability in your county.
See a chart of employee monthly premiums for each medical plan.
Making Changes (see pages 16 to 18 in the Enrollment Guide)
Changes to your medical insurance plan can be made during the Annual Open Enrollment period in the month of November (changes effective the following January), or during a Special Open Enrollment Event.
