- Recruiters prefer resumes that are clean and concise. If you can't describe your qualifications with a one page resume, you may extend it to a maximum of two pages.
- An exception to a one page resume is made for highly specialized jobs where publications, patents, dozens of honors or awards are crucial. In this case, have an addendum page for additional information.
- List skills only once, where they will be most effective.
- You don't have to list every job you have held. Priority should be given to positions you held for long periods of time or which utilized skills relevant to the type of employment you are seeking.
- Use a smaller font and narrow margins, to save space.
