and specific occupations. Videos may be viewed in the Career Center during
office hours. The following reference

- Dictionary
Of Occupational Titles (D.O.T.)—Lists short descriptions
of 12,000 occupations.
- O*NET
Dictionary of Occupational Titles—Revised version
of the D.O.T.. Provides information on approximately 1,000 occupations.
- Occupational
Outlook Handbook - Provides detailed information on
job requirements, working conditions, training and education
required, employment outlook and earnings (based on national
statistics), job outlook, and related occupations. Provides
sources of additional information.
- Washington
Occupational Information System (W.O.I.S.)—Provides
detailed information on job requirements, working conditions,
training and education required, employment outlook and earnings
(based on Washington State statistics), job outlook, and related
occupations. Provides sources of additional information.
- Vocational
Biographies—Career biographies in which people
who actually work in a particular career field provide information
about how they chose their career, qualifications and training
required, opportunities for advancement. Provides additional
sources of occupational information.
- Occupational
Briefs—Provides information on approximately 650
occupations including work performed, working conditions, education
and training, professional organizations, personal qualifications,
employment outlook, advancement opportunities, and related occupations.
