Academic Assistance and Tutoring

Tutoring Services

Tutoring services are available free of charge to all registered Clark College students. Tutors recommended by the faculty provide help in many subject areas. Students are able to schedule weekly, 1-on-1 appointments with tutors at Hawkins Hall for common subject areas.

Online Tutoring Services
Free online tutoring is available to students, 24/7, at etutoring.org. Go to the site and select "Clark College" from the drop-down menu under "Northwest Consortium" and follow the directions to activate your account. If you already have an active account, you may go directly to the log-in.

STEM Help Centers for Mathematics and Science
The STEM Help Centers for Mathematics and Science provide free assistance on a drop-in basis. Instructors are available to assist students with all levels of astronomy, chemistry, physics and math. Help Centers are open every quarter through finals week. STEM Help Center schedules are posted throughout Bauer Hall and Anna Pechanec Hall and online at:

Language Center
The Language Center offers assistance to students learning English, French, Japanese, Spanish and German at Clark College. Students may seek tutoring, conversation practice and help with written and oral assignments. The center also offers language support to Clark personnel and community members for the above and other languages when volunteers are available.

The Writing Center
The Writing Center is located in the Tutoring Center and is open to the entire campus community to provide assistance with all writing, from paper assignments to résumés. The center provides free, one-on-one consulting for writing assignments from all courses. Consultants suggest strategies and teach principles to help you learn to evaluate and revise your own writing and become a more effective writer. Both appointments and drop-in hours are available.
