| Why
do people choose to become a tutor ? |
|
Personal rewards and satisfaction are gained from helping others
with specific needs. Sharing knowledge with a student has a positive
impact on the entire community.
Benefits to the tutor include gaining skills and knowledge that
could influence areas of:

- Increased community visibility and work recommendations
- Accomplishment that makes a difference
|
| How do I get started ? |
- Call the literacy lab (992-2750) and request and application.
Fill out the application and return it to our office.
- You will be called for an orientation. This is an excellent
time to ask additional questions.
- After the orientation, you will attend the free tutor training
workshop. After you complete the workshop, you are ready to
be matched to a student. It is that simple.
Please call for the time and date of the
next workshop.
