PREREQUISITE: Moodle 101 and, preferably, Teaching with Moodle.
DESCRIPTION: Whether you use a weighted-grade system or calculate strictly by points, this workshop will walk you through setting up the gradebook to align with your syllabus and your system. We…ll align each of your scored assignments, tests, participation, etc. to work accordingly and utilize Moodle…s very accurate grade calculation to display in any form you wish by setting up grading categories and adjusting gradebook settings and preferences. You will see how to drop lowest scores and set up extra credit. We…ll even share a little trick for getting your students… current grade in the course to display accurately. This is a hands-on workshop.

Faculty advisor training is offered for all faculty interested in learning more about advising, advising tools, and advising resources and information. Topics will include contact and referral information, the Clark College Advising Plan, Advising technologies, educational plans, and strategies for working with students in academic difficulties, and other advising related issues.
New faculty advisors should attend the full session. Returning faculty advisors are only required to attend from 2:30-3:30pm, although if faculty members would like a full refresher they are welcome to attend for the full amount of time.
Participation is required to be eligible for the faculty advising stipend. In order to create user accounts for the technologies used please make sure to RSVP to the Director of Advising, Andrew Long, as noted below.
