"THE MESSIAH" AND "AVE MARIA" WILL HIGHLIGHT HOLIDAY PERFORMANCES BY THE CLARK COLLEGE CONCERT CHOIR AND CONCERT BAND
The concert will be held on Friday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics
VANCOUVER, Wash. -- The Clark College Concert Band, under the direction of the new Director of Bands Rich Inouye, and the Concert Choir, under the direction of April B. Duvic, will present their fall concert on Friday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Royal Durst Theatre, Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, 3101 Main Street, Vancouver. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Concert Choir will perform seven choruses and five solos from Handel’s Messiah. Soloists from the 52-voice choir include tenor David Warner, bass Bruce Kyte, alto Rachael Campbell, and sopranos Rachel Lindeken and Kiley Griffus. The choir will be accompanied by pianists Kathy Edsill-Charles and Vila Moreland.
The Concert Band program will showcase traditional band literature by Clifton Williams, Norman Dello Joio, and feature soprano April Duvic in a special arrangement of Schubert’s Ave Maria.
