INVITING THE COMMUNITY
TO PLAN FOR THE FUTURE
Clark College will host a public forum
on its updated facilities master plan on September 13
VANCOUVER, Wash. -- For nearly 75 years, Clark College has prided itself on being the community’s college. With its beautiful main campus located in Vancouver’s Central Park just east of Interstate 5, the college is growing and is looking to the future by updating its facilities master plan.
The public is invited to provide input on the facilities master plan update during a community meeting on Thursday, September 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The forum will be held in Rooms 258 B& C in the Penguin Union Building. Public parking for the meeting will be available in the college’s green #1 parking lot. Clark College is located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.
The plan identifies new construction and building renovation projects that are anticipated to occur over the next six to 12 years on the main campus.
The college’s most recent facilities master plan was approved by the City of Vancouver in 2003. Since that time, the college has made significant improvements including the construction of the Penguin Union Building and Joan Stout Hall as well as renovations to central Gaiser Hall and the O’Connell Sports Complex.
Through discussion and presentations, the community meeting will include a review of recent campus development, demographics and other influences on the plan update, and key features of the plan. Light refreshments will be served.
