HONORING WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT
AND VISION
Clark College and YWCA Clark County are now accepting nominations
for the 2008 Women of Achievement Awards
Vancouver, Wash. — She may be your colleague, neighbor, or friend. She may contribute to your school, local government or a community nonprofit. She is a woman of vision and she could be one of the 2008 Women of Achievement for Southwest Washington.
Clark College and the YWCA Clark County are now accepting nominations for the 2008 Women of Achievement Awards. Nomination forms are available at YWCA Clark County, 3909 Main St., Vancouver. All nominations must be postmarked or delivered by November 14, 2007.
Kathy Kniep, Executive Director of YWCA Clark County, said, “Women of Achievement are honored for outstanding and inspirational achievement in volunteer and/or professional roles in Clark County. Our honorees have an impressive history of community involvement and serve as a role model for others.”
Clark College and YWCA Clark County will host the 24th Annual Women of Achievement celebration on March 13, 2008 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington. For more information, call Krista Liles at the YWCA Clark County at 360-906-4301.
The Women of Achievement celebration was founded by Clark College in 1984 and joined by YWCA in 1991. Clark College President Robert K. Knight said, “This celebration has become Clark County’s largest event honoring women. Over the past 23 years, 184 women have been recognized for their efforts to build a stronger, healthier and more vibrant community. We look forward to adding eight new names to that impressive list of honorees next March.”
