From the young to the young at heart, members of the Clark College community gathered on Tuesday, Dec. 4 for the college's holiday reception and tree lighting.

Clark College President Bob Knight welcomed current and retired faculty and staff members to the reception, thanking them for their work in support of the college and its students.

Knight also thanked the Clark College Foundation for its support of the college, noting, “we
can never take it [the foundation] for granted.”
Foundation President Lisa Gibert noted that the foundation received a special holiday gift -- a $100,000 yearend matching gift.
As Clarkers enjoyed holiday fare prepared by members of the Culinary Arts program, the sounds of holiday music filled the air, courtesy members of the college’s band program.

Oswald, the leader of Clark's Penguin Nation, made an appearance at the festivities, as did another familiar face with a white beard and a jolly laugh.
And as dusk fell over the college, the twinkle of blue, red and green lights shone from the holiday tree.
