Nominees for Clark College's fall quarter 2009 classified staff recognition award were honored at a reception held Friday, Dec. 11 in the Penguin Student Lounge.
The nominees for the fall 2009 award were:
Rick Bartz, Information Technology Services
Sally Demos, Library
Rich Nevis, Facilities Services
Melissa Payne, Teaching and Learning Center
Lindsey Walling, Student Affairs
The award was presented to Lindsey Walling, secretary senior in Student Affairs. Lindsey has been with Clark College since 2006 and was solely responsible for establishing the Student Services desk at the new Columbia Tech Center building. In doing so, she worked with partners from across the college to insure that computers, supplies and information would be available to students; she also mentored and supported the new Student Affairs generalist at CTC. Her nominator noted that she seeks out the real question and is consistently patient, and that she provided a great service to Clark College with her welcoming and warm approach to the public during the early days of the CTC building.
