Saving dollars and trees,
“Clark Today” is your new guide to Clark College

Cover of the summer-fall 2012 issue of Clark TodayVANCOUVER, Wash. – At a time when more and more people are looking for information online, Clark College is taking The Next Step in sharing information about its programs and classes.

A new biannual publication, “Clark Today,” is replacing “Clark College Connections,” the quarterly class schedule that the college had been producing.

Condensing more than 30 pages of information into a streamlined 16-page booklet, “Clark Today” provides a fresh overview of programs and other information that students need.  It will include links to more in-depth information – including the actual schedule of classes - on the Clark College website.

The first issue focuses on summer and fall quarters for 2012.  It’s scheduled to arrive at the college and by mail within the college’s service district on or about May 18.

Clark College President Robert K. Knight said, “At a time when state funding has declined, we’re trying to find new ways to do things that support our students’ needs and make economic sense. With this project, we’re also able to reduce paper and save trees.”

He added, “Clark College’s class schedule has evolved over the decades. ‘Clark Today’ is new. It’s a pilot project, and we welcome feedback from our students and the community about this new direction. We hope they agree that it’s an exciting step forward.”

Complete information about the Clark College is available at www.clark.edu and on the college’s Facebook and Twitter sites.
