Associates in Arts (DTA) Online

You can now receive your general transfer Associates in Arts Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) degree fully online.

This degree is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor degree program. The degree, in most cases, meets the first two years of general education requirements at senior institutions. It transfers to most Bachelor of Arts degree programs at all Washington four-year institutions. See the College Catalog for more information about the degree.

Online classes are not for everyone! Some people learn best through face-to-face interaction with instructors and fellow students. In online classes, most, if not all, interaction takes place through written assignments, discussion board messages and email. Good reading and writing skills are essential! See the eLearning Student Handbook for more information

Online classes give you flexibility to schedule your work. But they are not easier than face-to-face classes, they don’t take less time, and they require more self-discipline. Take the self-assessment test to see if online classes are right for you. Also, make sure you have the necessary computer equipment to take online classes.

The online offerings in this degree program are currently limited, and therefore may take longer than two years to complete. To view what online offerings are currently available view the AA Transfer Degree Worksheet for Online Students. To see what quarter eLearning courses are offered see the Online AA Course Menu. We encourage you to meet with an Academic Advisor to establish your action plan for receiving your degree online.
