Proof of Attendance Procedure
for Distance Learning Students

Federal regulation CFR 668.32(a)(1)(i) requires all financial aid recipients attend at least one class prior to an institution disbursing any type of student aid.

How do online students show proof of attendance?

Step 1: Students will request their instructor email Financial Aid at finaid@clark.edu stating the student has been active in their class. (note: verifications, both electronic and paper, are only valid for one week after the email/signature date.)

Step 2: Financial Aid then prints the email and attaches it to the students voucher. Once this is done the student can go to Financial Aid, sign and pick up their voucher. The student takes the voucher to the cashier’s office to pick up their check.

Note: If a student cannot come to the college, the voucher is mailed to the student to sign and return. Once Financial Aid receives the signed voucher from the student, Financial Aid will then mail the check to the student.
