The Small Business Management program focuses on the theories used to manage and to
lead a small business. Whether an entrepreneur, small business owner, or franchiser/franchisee,
the odds of being a success greatly improve through real-world practices that are
also stressed. The foundation of knowledge gleaned from the study of small business
management emphasizes the many stakeholders that are necessary for success – being
successful in a small business cannot be done alone.
The impact that small business has on ones’ life, the lives of others, and the contributions
to the economy and society are revealed, whether the firm is a profit or a non- profit,
an at-home or brick and mortar establishment, or the reach is local and/or global.
Many of today’s career opportunities have been in the small business sector, and forecasts
suggest that this trend will continue.

This Small Business Management certificate includes the basic courses that provide the necessary skills needed for small business owners to sustain and expand their operations.
Small Business Management (CP)
This program focuses on the theories used to manage and lead a small business.
