The rapid growth
of manufacturing in the Clark County area of Washington
has brought with it the need for well trained professionals
to maintain the equipment that is used in automated manufacturing.
These technicians are involved in all phases of
the installation and maintenance of the equipment used in
the handling of incoming materials, materials processing
and manufacturing, as well as the packaging and shipping
of the completed product.
High school students considering a career in manufacturing are advised to develop the necessary math and English skills while attending high school. A mathematics proficiency test is required of all students before placement on the program's entry list.
