The Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (IBEST) Office Clerk Level One Certificate of Completion is designed for students who either have been out of school for a long period of time, or students who do not have their GED yet or students who speak English as a second language. This program will provide students with a support class outside of the technical classroom to help with math, portfolio development, business English and computer skills.

Entry Level Office Clerks
Entry Level Office Clerks perform diverse duties but may still have a limited knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Clerical duties may be assigned in accordance with the office procedures of individual establishments and may include a combination of answering telephones, typing or word processing, office machine operation, and filing.
Degree Options:
Short Term Certificate earned in two quarters. These credits can also apply to an Administrative Assistant Associate in Applied Science Degree.

Minimum ESL level 5 required. CASAS appraisal between 220-255 in reading or math
GED or high school diploma not required, but recommended
