Nursing studies began at Clark College in the 1940’s when Phyllis Bettesworth Moore began teaching Nurse’s Aide courses utilizing a Red Cross curriculum. At completion of the course students received a certificate from the Red Cross. Nurse’s Aide training was imperative during the War years.
