DENTAL HYGIENE
 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SELECTION

To be considered for selection into the upcoming fall quarter class, all applicants must:
  • Submit the Community College Application for Admission and Statement of Intent forms with a $40 non-refundable application fee* to the Clark College Admissions Office by January 8th. If a student wishes to pursue more than one health occupation, an additional $20.00 non-refundable application fee is required for each additional program.
  • Mail ALL official college transcripts to the Admissions Office for complete transcript evaluation. Updated official transcripts must be sent each term after grades are posted. (An up-to-date file provides the candidate with the most effective advising possible and assures a more accurate evaluation of qualifications.)
  • Earn a 2.0 or higher grade in each dental hygiene preliminary course.
  • Obtain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
  • Obtain a minimum applicable science GPA of 2.25 or higher.
  • Complete ENGL& 101 (was ENGL 101) or equivalent with 2.0 or higher grade.
  • Have no more than 10 credits of preliminary coursework left to complete by the end of winter quarter.
Applicants' Responsibilities in the Admissions Process
Candidates are responsible for keeping the Admissions Office informed of their progress towards completing admissions requirements. Effective and accurate advising cannot be provided until all records have been received.
Candidates are responsible to submit all forms, applications and transcripts on time and meet deadlines as stated in the application packet
