Adult Literacy - Student Information

The Adult Literacy Program serves adults who want to improve their basic reading, writing and English language speaking skills. Volunteer tutors help students individually or in small groups.

We serve adults who
  • have not been successful in classroom situations
  • are unable to attend classes because of job or family conflicts
  • are struggling in their Basic Skills classes at Clark

Students must first take placement tests to determine eligibility for the program. There may be a waiting period for a tutor; we strongly encourage students to enroll in Basic Education classes as a first step.

Students must be over 18 or have a High School release. Services are not available to those on visitor or tourist visas.

Call 992-2750 or e-mail ltlab@clark.edu for more information or to make an appointment.
