Clark College offers a variety of eLearning options giving students the opportunity to attend classes beyond the traditional on-campus experience. Your eLearning options include:
Online:
This encompasses classes where class activities are completed in the online environment. Most online classes require no face-to-face contact between the students and the instructor, however there are a few exceptions so always check the class schedule. There is a $30 eLearning fee associated with these courses.
Hybrid:
These classes combine traditional face-to-face classroom time with the flexibility of online learning. Typically, the on-campus time is reduced by 20 to 80 percent. The rest of the class work is done online. There is a $15 eLearning fee associated with these courses
Telecourse:
These classes deliver all course content through videos and the text book. They typically meet weekly for exams. There is no online component to these classes. Telewebs:
These classes combine the video component of the telecourse with online activities. There is a $30 eLearning fee associated with these courses. Video viewing options can be found at http://www.clark.edu/eLearning/telecourse_viewing.php.
Weekend Degree Program:
This program leads a selected cohort of students through a specific course of study towards a general transfer Associate in Arts degree. Cohorts begin every Fall. Courses are hybrid format, meeting 3 weekends throughout the quarter. For more information, see the Weekend Degree Program.
Web-Enhanced:
A face-to-face course that does not replace any face-to-face seat time, and access to web-based tools on a regular basis is required. There is no eLearning fee associated with these courses.
