Clark College will resume summer schedule

Starting this week, the college will be closed to the public at noon on Fridays

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Beginning on July 19 and continuing through August 30, Clark College is moving to its summer schedule.  Offices at the main campus will be closed to the public starting at noon on Fridays.   The Clark Center at WSU-Vancouver, the Columbia Tech Center, and the Continuing Education Center in downtown Vancouver will also be closed to the public at noon on Fridays, although instructional classes – as well as programs offered by Corporate and Continuing Education–will be provided as already scheduled.

According to Vice President of Administrative Services Bob Williamson, Clark adopted the summer schedule last year in response to temporary budget cuts, and is continuing the program this year to take advantage of the efficiencies gained by setting aside dedicated time for staff in areas such as financial aid and admissions to process applications and awards.  Staff in other offices also are able to use this time to effectively manage the college’s business functions.

Even though Clark College will be closed to the public at noon on Fridays during the summer, the college continues to serve students and the community by providing information and online services at www.clark.edu and on the college’s Facebook and Twitter sites.

Regular Friday hours of service will resume on September 6.
