ebrary® has created a publicly available research center featuring a highly interactive, searchable database of documents pertaining to the H1N1 influenza pandemic. Available at http://h1n1.ebrary.com, the new site contains a growing selection of reports, papers, newsletters, posters, and other important materials from government agencies and other trusted sources.

This fall, the Library has 153 copies of 99 different textbooks for 76 courses available on reserve.

The Library’s laptop loan program is becoming an increasingly popular service for Clark students. During fall quarter the loan period was increased from 2 hours to 3 hours. Total check-outs for fall 2008 were 144 and as of week 3 of fall 2009 the seven laptops in the Cannell Library circulated 265 times (an increase of 45.67%).

CTC students, faculty, and staff are now able to access the Clark College library catalog and Summit catalog to request books and other research materials. Library materials are delivered approximately twice a week via Clark courier or Orbis Cascade Alliance courier.

There are electrical outlets spread along the top of the counter for easy access.

This fall has been very busy due to an increase in traffic in the library. This means that the noise level has also increased. If you are looking for a quiet place to study try the Quiet Study Room. It is located on the second floor down the last hallway past the computer lab.

There are 2 hand sanitizing stations in the library. On the first floor it is located next to the photocopy room. On the second floor it is located along the wall in the computer lab.

  • Laptops and calculators.  You can check out laptops and calculators for three hours from the Check Out desk.  Laptops must stay in the library, but calculators can be used outside the library.
  • Videos.  You can check out videos (both DVDs and VHS format) for six days. 
  • DVD, VHS & CD players.  Need to watch a video for a class assignment?  Want to listen to some music in between classes?  We have televisions with DVD and VHS players and we have CD players on the second floor of the library.
  • Group Study Rooms & Quiet Study Rooms.   Both are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the second floor of the library.

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:00 am – 8:30 pm
  • Friday: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Saturday-Sunday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • NOTE: The 2nd floor computer lab closes 15 minutes earlier than the library

And don’t forget to visit our new Information Commons at the Columbia Tech Center (CTC). Fall term hours are:
